Who Is Behind ProSoundWorkshop?
PSW is the creation of, and is taught by, Los Angeles recording veterans Joe Barresi and Chad Bamford.
Joe Barresi is a legendary rock producer, engineer, and mixer who has worked with some of the world’s greatest bands including Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Pennywise, Bad Religion, Clutch, The Melvins, and many more. Widely acknowledged as one of the biggest names in rock, Joe’s brain has been picked by the biggest mags in the business including ProSoundNews, Mix, EQ, and Sound on Sound.
Chad Bamford (once a pupil of Joe’s himself) is also a producer/engineer/mixer with years of experience working with bands like Weezer, AFI, Blaqk Audio, Perry Farrell and Spiritualized.
Between them, Joe and Chad have over 40 years of experience in the recording industry with more than a dozen platinum and gold records to their credit.
In addition, Joe and Chad invite special guest lecturers to visit each workshop to offer another perspective and give students yet another brain to pick. Past guests have included Andrew Scheps (Metallica, RHCP, Audioslave, Linkin Park), Matt Wallace (Faith No More, Maroon 5, The Replacements), GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, The Melvins, Chevelle, Jesus Lizard), Stan Katayama (Rage Against The Machine, Judas Priest, Kiss), Paul Rivera (Rivera Amps), Bruce Jacoby (Remo), and Chip Ellis (Fender).
